Fleet Street Quarter is a district of deep history and innovation, stretching from St Paul’s Cathedral to the Royal Courts of Justice and up toward Holborn. Today, it is one of London’s most ambitious regeneration areas, with more than 30 development sites, major public realm upgrades, and a renewed cultural strategy rooted in its publishing and storytelling heritage.

VMI was commissioned to build the digital foundation for this transformation: a real-time interactive model of the district and accompanying app ‘In the City’ that makes the future Fleet Street Quarter clear and navigable for investors, planners, businesses, and the public.

For the festive season, Fleet Street Quarter has welcomed a very special guest: Snoopy.

Twelve artist-designed sculptures appear across the district to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Charles M. Schulz’s beloved Peanuts™.

Each sculpture reimagines Snoopy’s red doghouse through a different artistic lens, from a whimsical mushroom theme to a new tenant in Snoopy’s abode, a reindeer.

We augmented our model of the district with a digital companion to the sculpture trail, which helps you track them down across the nooks and crannies of Fleet Street, with wayfinding, artist profiles, and an audio guide narrated by comedian & author Olaf Falafal.

Ultimately, this charming addition to the district’s festive program connects the public with the area’s heritage and helps them understand its culture-led future.

The Snoopy trail is an example of how our digital framework for the District scales and adapts to our clients’ needs. In its public-facing role, the model and app act as a ‘Swiss Army knife’ to broadcast a range of experiences, for a variety of stakeholders, within a single ecosystem.

For Fleet Street Quarter BID, the model becomes a single tool used throughout the development lifecycle, a clear way to communicate the future vision to the public, architects, investors and developers, while the app increases footfall, supporting local businesses and giving Londoners a reason to return throughout the year.
